The Sixth District Domestic Violence Court program provides a simplified court process, “one family one judge”, for cases involving domestic violence, through centralized case management, victim services and rapid accountability for offenders.
It is a collaborative effort between prosecutors, public defenders, attorneys, probation, victim-witness coordinators, local police departments, community treatment providers, advocates and the DV Court Coordinator, to provide a coordinated judicial response and to create a safer environment for victims and children of domestic violence.
